This month, we’ll introduce the R1 Shop, an online experience that gives invited preorder holders the opportunity to swap their current R1 configuration* for a new configuration with expected delivery in the next 6-8 weeks or sooner. And it keeps getting wilder. Sunday I get an email from Rivian saying "Your R1T is ready to leave the factory". Roughly an hour later, I get a text from the Rivian Delivery team saying "your vehicle has arrived at the service center and will be ready for pickup on 6/30." So Rivian's auto-update "lag" seems to be very much an ongoing issue. Looks like Rivian is really ramping up the R1S deliveriers Great snag -- definitely a better value option w/ the free wheels.
