Turn key and nothing happens but lights work

The dash does not turn on, no neutral light or engine light come on. The only thing that works are my lights when they key is on. Typically i hear the fuel pump come on when the key is turned but nothing. Initially i was able to pull start the bike but now not even that is working. When i use the pull start i can smell fuel.
