Dec 12, 2022 · The Staccato G3 magazines are reliable, but have some interesting behaviors I find annoying. Just a target shooting range gun? Get the Staccato, steel framed. Carry gun? Any of the Wilson EDC X9 family. The Wilson equipped as the Staccato P DPO will cost a fair bit more, to the tune of nearly $1000 after the sight cut at retail pricing.
They expect the EDC X9 to shoot and feel like a 1911. It doesn’t. However, it’s a great shooting gun if you take the time to get used to it. If your really longing for that 1911 feel, the large backstrap option will get you much closer. Most guns aren’t sold with it, so that’s another $90 on an already expensive gun.

I think it really comes down to size.
